Lithograph on Chinese paper by Henri Rivière Parisian Landscapes - The Trocadéro A5568 This lithograph entitled “Parisian Landscapes - The Trocadéro” is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the bottom right corner. The work is authentic and old, being a rare print on Chinese paper published and printed by Eugène Verneau. Regarding its condition, there are small tears in the margin (from 0.2 cm to 3.9 cm), creased corners, fold marks, stains, and ink lines. On the lithograph, we note small brown and white spots (missing ink). The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most of the defects will be barely visible. He started his career with drawing and then with soft-ground etching specifically in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theater of the Chat Noir cabaret, improving the performances by creating very innovative colored sets. He later dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving, establishing himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
