Lithograph by Henri Rivière The Aspects of Nature - The Bay A5680 This lithograph “The Aspects of Nature - The Bay” is signed Henri Rivière and has a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old. In terms of condition, there are small tears in the margin (from 0.5 to 2 cm), ink marks, signs of folding, small stains, and slightly worn corners. On the lithograph, we note small stains. The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He started his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving, specifically etching, in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theater in the cabaret du Chat noir, improving the shows by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
