We have taken numerous photos of the defects so you can assess the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then moved to soft-ground etching, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and set designer in 1886, working in shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing performances by creating innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving, making a mark in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
