Lithograph by Henri Rivière Au Vent de Noroît - The Port A5825 This lithograph “Au Vent de Noroît - La Neige” is signed by Henri Rivière and has a red stamp seal at the bottom left. The lithograph is in good condition, the colors are perfect; we note for the meticulous some small ink marks in the margin. We have taken a maximum of photos of the defects so you can judge the condition. Sold as is. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and set designer in 1886, working on shadow plays at the cabaret du Chat noir, which he enhanced by creating very innovative colored sets. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
