We note small ink marks in the margin. The colors are perfect. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then moved on to etching and specifically to intaglio in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theater in the cabaret Le Chat Noir, improving the shows by creating innovative colored sets. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving, establishing himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
