Model of the so-called "butcher" with a large sawback BLUTCHER. Banned after the end of the Great War, it is quite difficult to find examples with sawback, as only those lost during the war have been preserved, with those recovered by the Army or the enemy being destroyed or modified.

Description:
Rare and very beautiful massive bayonet, gladius type, S98/05 for Mauser, dating from the First World War. Wooden handle with 10 grooves and two rivets on each side, no play to clean. Shiny blade with a central groove and saw teeth, marked at the heel on both sides: "F.HERDER A SN SOLINGEN + AMBERG" and on the edge "L with crown, 15 and D with crown". Scabbard made of blued steel, as is, pitted and needs cleaning. Marked at the entrance "D with crown". Very beautiful and rare piece, in superb condition. Very rare in this state, 100% original guaranteed. Very pleasant to hold and even more to observe in display!
