Regarding the condition, there are small tears in the margin on the right (2.3 cm and 2 cm), at the bottom (0.3 cm), a missing piece of paper on the left, creased corners, fold marks, and small stains. On the litho, we note some small stains. The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most of the defects will be barely noticeable. We have taken a maximum of photos of the defects so you can assess the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then moved on to soft-ground engraving, specifically etching in 1882. Concurrently, he began a career as a director and scenographer in 1886, at the shadow theater of the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing shows by creating very innovative colored sets. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving and made a name for himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
