The work is authentic and old. Regarding the condition, note that there are pinholes in the margin, traces of folds, small stains, and slightly worn corners. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then intaglio engraving, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and set designer in 1886, for shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, improving performances by creating very innovative colored sets. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
