The colors are perfect, they are fresh. This artwork has never been exhibited, and the conservation conditions are perfect. We note a slight margin defect in the bottom right that will be invisible once the artwork is framed. We have taken a maximum of photos of the defects so that you can assess the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with soft-ground engraving, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and stage designer in 1886, for the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he enhanced by creating color sets, which were very innovative. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
