The Italian Army (in Italian, Esercito italiano) is one of the four armed forces in Italy, with the Marina militare, the Aeronautica militare and the Carabinieri (Carabinieri).
Within it are present families with a prestigious tradition: the Alpini (in French alpine hunters) and the Bersaglieri regiments created by royal decree on June 16, 1836 on the proposal of Captain Alessandro La Marmora.

Here is a very beautiful and rare saber identified as an Italian artillery saber. The saber is in good condition with traces of age on the hilt and the scabbard. Three-pronged guard, very solid, remains of tan and wood. Bronzed blade in superb condition, ending in a carpal tongue, ''VG'' markings on the heel. Marking on the handle ''94''. One-ring scabbard, a few small dents towards the end, not serious, in good condition.
