The Belgian army is divided into six "army divisions" (the equivalent of infantry divisions in other armies), complemented by a cavalry division. Each division consisted of three mixed brigades, one cavalry regiment, one artillery regiment, and various transport units.

Superb Belgian briquet saber copied from the French model. Bronze fluted handle, a fixing rivet on each side, no play. The blade is still beautiful, shiny, with some traces due to time, in its original condition. Stitched black leather scabbard, very robust, handle marked "J 450". A simply unique saber that cannot be found in any condition. A similar specimen is displayed in the Royal Army Museum in Brussels, very rare!!!
It is certain that by acquiring this splendid and rare saber from the Belgian army, you will be in possession of a very rare witness to the history of Belgium.
