Beautiful handcrafted bronze mask from Africa, Bamoun, Cameroon. Ethnic art. Traditional lost-wax casting technique. Decorative purpose, to be hung on a wall or placed on a pedestal, vintage manufacturing from the 60s to 80s. Depicting a smiling bearded man with bulging eyes, crowned king with a face and two lizards among other stylized motifs. Bulbous shape. Hollow mouth and nostrils. Nice detail work, well-finished beautiful model. In bronze, brown, and golden tones, with a bit of bluish and white oxidation. 26cm high, 22cm wide, 7cm maximum depth. Very good condition, time patina with some fairly noticeable natural oxidation, nice antique appearance. Approximately 1.2kg.
