Small bronze face mask of Oba, handcrafted, Bamoun, Cameroon, Africa. Vintage mid-20th century, or slightly earlier. Intended for decorative purposes or used during commemorative ceremonies and tributes. The object is adorned with a molded suspension ring directly on the headdress. Irregular back and natural patina showing slight signs of oxidation, a testament to its handcrafted nature. The face depicted, in a traditional style, displays a serene expression, large slightly bulging eyes, and a somewhat smiling mouth. It also features a striated beard fanned out, a symbol of dignity. It wears a headdress or crown spiked with points. A very lovely small object that will delight fans of African art. Measures 16 cm in height, 10 cm in width, and 4 to 5 cm in thickness depending on the curvature. In very good condition, with natural wear and patina, small holes particularly in the headdress, due to the manufacturing technique, original and a proof of its authenticity.
