The kandjar (or kanjar, khandjar, cangiar) is an Eastern white weapon. It is, notably, the dagger with a very wide and curved blade worn at the waist by men in the Sultanate of Oman during ceremonies. It slips into the silver or leather belt that holds the dishdasha, the traditional costume.
Very beautiful and superb "Kandjar" or Kindjal. The handle and sheath are richly decorated with silver plating. Very clean blade with two central grooves entirely engraved with silver relief. A beautiful and very solid short sword/dagger, rare in this state of preservation. Sheath made of wood and steel, also covered with silver and black leather. Practically unavailable on classic sales sites. It is probably a Russian order from a private Persian or Ottoman. A very beautiful and sumptuous piece that is starting to become rare! Very pleasant to hold and even more to observe in a showcase! 100% original!!! A true piece of craftsmanship that will wonderfully decorate your collection of ancient daggers and knives.
Don't miss this unique collectible piece that can beautifully decorate your showcase of shashka, kindjal, or kandjar and become the centerpiece!!!
