Superb, very rare, and massive British officer's sword/palash model 1897. The grip is very solid with a magnificent guard made of steel, bronze, and leather with a single branch. The blade is in superb condition, with some signs of aging, quite massive, marked at the hilt: "14565" (it is therefore possible to find the officer's name) + engraved on the blade and scabbard. Engravings of King George + manufacturer and "Proved." The scabbard is in chrome-plated and bronzed steel, quite clean! With its superb knot made of silver and gold fabric (very rare). The sword fits perfectly in its scabbard. This is a magnificent original English sword in good condition, very uncommon. Piece from my collection, I'm parting with it due to lack of space!
