Rare and very beautiful massive bayonet, sword-type, S98/05 for Mauser, dating from World War I. Wooden handle with 10 grooves and two rivets on each side, with no play to clean. Shiny blade with a central fuller and saw teeth, marked at the heel on both sides: "E.W.HOLLER SOLINGEN" and on the spine "L with crown, 17 and D with crown." Scabbard in blued steel, in its original condition, pitted and needing cleaning. Marked at the entrance "D with crown." Very beautiful and rare piece, in superb condition with its rare leather frog/sling. Very rare in this condition, 100% original guaranteed. Very pleasant to hold in hand and even more to observe in a showcase!
