A pair of French armchairs dating from 1955-1960, attributable to designer Louis Paolozzi, a collaborator of the Zol, Brandt, and sometimes Steiner houses. Possibility of forming a set of 4 armchairs (2nd pair currently for sale in my shop). These iconic pieces perfectly illustrate the French post-war modernist line: elegance, comfort, and sculptural exploration. - "Wing" armrests, wide and enveloping - Trapezoidal seat - Backrest slightly flared upwards - Period wood and foam structure, typical of high-end French productions from the 50s. Yellow velvet in very good condition, clean, bright, without snags. Perfect stability. As often seen in armchairs from the 1950s-1960s, the original foam shows natural fatigue that is perceptible to the touch (slight internal fragility in the armrests). This is a classic phenomenon inherent to old upholstery. It does not affect the presentation or structure, but an interior refurbishment might be considered according to the comfort requirements of the buyer. Dimensions (each armchair): Backrest height: 79.5 cm Seat height: approx. 39 cm Width: 75 cm Depth: 76.5 cm Local pickup possible in Bourges, in the historic center (Notre-Dame Church), by appointment. - Orders are placed at your doorstep - Dimensions are always specified: no claims will be accepted if the furniture does not fit in your stairwell or if your ceiling is too low... for example. - Specific delivery rates apply for islands: Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Balearic Islands......... - Delivery times are generally very short for all major urban areas - These may be extended for extremely isolated and particularly poorly served destinations: do not hesitate to contact me in advance. Color: Yellow Number of pieces: 2 Brand: Louis Paolozzi Type: Armchair Origin: France Period: 20th Century Design Subtype: Conversation Country of origin: France Material: Wood Style: 1940-1960
