Pair of French armchairs dating from 1955-1960, attributed to the designer Louis Paolozzi, collaborator of the Zol, Brandt, and sometimes Steiner houses. Possibility to form a set of 4 chairs (the second pair currently for sale in my shop). These iconic pieces perfectly illustrate the French modernist style of the post-war period: elegance, comfort, and sculptural design. - "Wing" armrests, wide and enveloping - Trapezoidal seat - Slightly flared backrest - Period wooden and foam structure, typical of high-end French productions from the 50s. Yellow velvet in very good condition, clean, bright, with no snags (I would only mention slight surface wear on one seat). Perfect stability. As is often the case with armchairs from the 1950s-1960s, the original foam shows natural fatigue perceptible to the touch (slight internal brittleness in the armrests). This is a classic phenomenon inherent to antique upholstery. It does not alter the presentation or structure, but an interior restoration can be considered based on the comfort requirements of the buyer. Dimensions (each armchair): Back height: 79.5 cm Seat height: approx. 39 cm Width: 75 cm Depth: 76.5 cm On-site pickup possible in Bourges, in the historic center (Notre-Dame Church), by appointment. - Orders are dropped off at the foot of your home - Dimensions are always specified: no disputes will be accepted if the furniture does not fit in your staircase or if your ceiling is too low... for example. - Specific delivery charges apply for islands: Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Balearic Islands......... - Delivery times are usually very short for all major cities - These can be extended for extremely isolated and poorly served destinations: feel free to contact me beforehand. Color: Yellow Number of pieces: 2 Brand: Louis Paolozzi Type: Armchair Origin: France Period: 20th Century Design Sub-type: Conversation Country of origin: France Material: Wood Style: 1940-1960
