Pair of French armchairs dating from the years 1955-1960, attributable to the designer Louis Paolozzi, collaborator of the Zol, Brandt, and sometimes Steiner Houses. Possibility to form a set of 4 armchairs (2nd pair currently for sale in my shop). These iconic pieces perfectly illustrate the French post-war modernist style: elegance, comfort, and sculptural research. - "Wing" armrests, wide and enveloping - Trapezoidal seat - Backrest slightly flared upwards - Wood and period foam structure, typical of high-end French productions from the 1950s. Yellow velvet in very good condition, clean, bright, without snags (I would only note a slight surface wear on one seat). Perfect stability. As often with armchairs from the 1950s-1960s, the original foam shows a natural fatigue perceptible to the touch (slight internal brittleness in the armrests). This is a classic phenomenon inherent to old upholstery. It does not alter the presentation or structure, but an internal refurbishment may be considered according to the comfort requirements of the buyer.
