Antique tripod wooden chair, early/mid-20th century, inspired by Spanish design.

The high backrest and seat are adorned with openwork clovers. The visible sides are carved with a gouge, giving it a rustic and raw look. It comes with its original mustard yellow velvet cushion, bordered with twisted braid.

This type of tripod seat is traditionally associated with midwives' working chairs and childbirth. Its low shape, wide seat, and two armrests were suited for this purpose. Today, it easily finds its place as a side chair, corner chair, or entryway chair.

In generally good condition, with signs of use. An old repair with wood filler is visible under the seat and on one side (see photos). The three legs are in good condition, and the chair is stable. Two legs screw in and out. One leg has been glued.
