Ancient Armenian pottery vase, Palestine, Ohanessian in the Iznik style. Handmade production signed under the base Palestine Karakashian-Balian, late 19th to early 20th century. Baluster shape, flared neck, small high foot with rounded base. Pink terracotta, hand-painted and glazed. Unusual black/purplish hue, with traditional vegetal motifs, turquoise blue, green, red, white/pink (translucency), foot with navy blue frieze and triangular patterns. 22.5 cm in height, 11-12 cm maximum diameter. Very good overall condition, some minor losses, particularly on the rim of the neck (3) and on the edge of the foot (5), and other discreet traces of time, crackling of the glaze. Approximately 750 grams.
