KOHN armchair No. 715, design by Gustave Siegel, model proven in 1899. The construction of the 715 is easily recognizable by its front legs which are the extension of the top of the backrest, in a single piece of wood, it is the archetype of a whole series of armchairs and benches at Kohn and 'Thonet-Mundus from 1900 until 1940, always very popular. Thank you Mr. Siegel who was then only 20 years old!! Excellent condition of cabinetmaking. Mahogany shellac. The current upholstery is in good condition and clean. However, our upholsterer can reupholster this armchair with genuine Backhausen fabrics. Choice of up to 5 patterns possible (Hoffmann, Prutscher). On request, I send the available Backhausen fabrics and the overall upholstery quote. Remarkable original brass feet.
