Lacquered wicker elephant from the 1970s.
It carries on its back a saddle rug bordered with a wicker twist, topped with a flared tray. Its tusks are made of wood, and its tail is nicely braided. It rests on a rectangular base.
The whole piece is mounted on a sturdy wooden structure, in good condition.
It is missing its removable tray, which can be found on other available examples, without detracting from its aesthetic qualities.
In general good condition, there are a few scattered paint chips, especially on the upper tray; some wear to the wicker on the edge of the base; a diffuse yellowing of the whole piece, except for the upper tray.
A very beautiful decorative piece. It can serve as a side table, a plant stand, or a pedestal...
