Superb and very rare saber of the so-called "Her Majesty's Companies of British Engineers". The hilt is made of wood covered with shagreen and steel with a decorated handle. The handle is unfinished with filigree. No play, very solid and solid. The blade is in good condition, shining in superb condition. Hallmarked on both sides: "QUEEN VICTORIA'S MONOGRAM (?) + FLORAL DECORATIONS + HEBBERT & CO. LONDON". The scabbard is made of double-ring steel and is in good condition, very sturdy. A superb piece in its original condition, very pleasant to hold in your hand and even more pleasant to admire in a display case.
