Very beautiful painting finely executed by the designer Francis Bergèse signed and dated. the painting is made on paper mounted on cardboard. Good general condition, see photo. , Francis Bergèse collaborated from 1964 to 1973 with Editions Fleurus for which he imagined numerous short stories published in magazines such as Formula 1, Fripounet, J2 Magazine. We will remember titles like Rozanoff and A taxi for the islands. At the same time, Bergèse adapts various novels for publications such as Ajax, Cap 7 or Zorro. This last magazine also sees the appearance of the adventures of Jacques Renne, an aviator who furiously reminds Buck Danny! A relentless illustrator, Bergèse draws numerous illustrations, short stories and other games. Also specialized in the production of aeronautical-themed visuals (matchboxes, Heller model boxes), Bergèse will in this way join the story of Buck Danny. At the beginning of the 1980s, Jean-Michel Charlier and Editions Dupuis were looking for a designer capable of creating the covers of the new Tout Buck Danny collection in the purest Hubinian style. Bergèse tries his luck... Charlier is delighted! In addition to an illustrator for the said covers, the screenwriter found a replacement for Victor Hubinon (who died in 1979) to stage the adventures of Buck Danny. For Bergèse, this consecration allows him to realize a childhood dream that he never thought he would one day achieve. Four albums were released between 1983 and 1988. Unfortunately, the death of the screenwriter in 1989 prevented the production of Oiseaux Noirs, an album that remained unfinished (see Tout Buck Danny 14). Then Bergèse will draw The Secrets of the Black Sea based on a script by Jacques de Douhet before taking on sole drawing and script for the series. An outstanding designer, with almost photographic lines, Bergèse also proves to be a solid screenwriter. Note that his son Frédéric is responsible for coloring his albums. While taking over Buck Danny, Bergèse continued his activities as an illustrator. We owe him several drawings for album covers by Tanguy and Laverdure. At the time of Charlier's disappearance, unsure of being able to continue to animate Buck Danny, Francis Bergèse adapted the adventures of the British aviator Biggles into a comic strip, drawing inspiration from the novels of W.E. Johns. Five albums were released between 1990 and 1994. Since then, Bergèse has devoted himself exclusively to the adventures of Buck Danny and passed the torch to the duo Michel Oleffe - Eric Loutte Type: Gouache Style: 1980 Genre: Hyperrealism Characteristics: Signed Theme: Character
