Set of 2 Thonet chairs No. 10 from around 1870/75 with continuous legs. They are ready to use, solid, and stable. Finished with blonde French polish. The No. 10 chair is not a common model, as it was largely overshadowed by chair No. 11 (oval caned medallion in the backrest); its simplicity and understated design make it quite sought after. The front legs are adorned with a turned capital, and the seat belt is trapezoidal (43cmX42cm). This model was primarily intended for dining rooms rather than bistros. Seat height: 47 cm - total height 91 cm. Very good condition, excellent axial symmetry. Label (1 b) under each seat. The label "1B" gives us a production date between 1870 and 1875. There is no stamp from these production dates. New caning with six strands (2.1X2.3mm), tight and flawless. More photos and information available upon request. Secure shipping in France and Europe or pickup in Alsace.
