Two chairs from a Thonet model listed in the 1906 American catalog, apparently never marketed in Europe. We will not attempt to describe the Art Nouveau motifs of this chair; the photos speak for themselves. This is model No. 561; seat height: 47 cm, overall height: 89 cm, diameter: 41 cm. The finish of this set is in the "rosewood decoration," a hallmark of the brand. The lot is in perfect condition, ready for use. The construction of this lot, as indicated by the labeling, dates from the 1925, made in Czechoslovakia in the Austro-Hungarian factories of the company that has been established since 1850.
