Precious trio of covered small teacups, or Gaiwans, made of artisanal Chinese porcelain, hand-painted, and brass. Antique from the late 19th to early 20th century, in the Jiaqing style, with an apocryphal signature mark, 乾隆年製, Qiánlóng nián zhì, "Made during the reign of Qianlong" under the bases; in reality, this is a later production intended for export to Vietnam. Nonetheless, these objects are uncommon due to their antiquity and fragility; many have disappeared over time. Rounded shape, tall, with small round bases, and small domed lids equipped with a flat knob. Hand-painted white porcelain with stylized blue bamboo motifs, very elegant and fine. The edges of the knobs, bottom of the lids, and top of the cups are rimmed with golden brass, chic. The porcelain is cracked due to time and use, and stained by tea, notably in 2 of the lids, not bothersome. Maximum height of 7.5 cm with lid, 4.5 cm height without, maximum diameter of 6.3 cm. Very good overall condition apart from the patina and natural cracking, no chips, no cracks, some dirt under the knobs, part of the patina, brass clean and shiny with a few light marks of time. They can serve as small boxes or find their place in a collection. Approximately 130g each. The porcelain allows concentrated beams of light to pass through but is thick and heavy; this is not Imperial porcelain.
