These swords were produced at the end of the 19th century. The blade was mostly made in Germany. Forged here by the famous manufacturer "WAFFENFABRIK" known primarily for its MAUSER C96.

Description:
Beautiful and rare Swiss cavalry officer's sword. The grip is made of white steel, very sturdy as is typical for this kind of model, with a single branch guard and the thumb attachment in leather still present. The handle is wooden, covered in ray skin (RARE), no play, very solid. The blade is in excellent condition, still shiny, engraved with etching: "LA CROIX SUISSE". The scabbard is metal with one ring, also in excellent condition. This magnificent sword was found in an attic between the Belgian and French border and it is 100% original and in great condition.
