Description

Historical context:

In the military field, a foot hunter is an infantryman of light infantry. Characteristic units of the small war that developed at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, foot hunters were originally tasked with reconnaissance missions or "special operations" for the army in the field such as foraging, attacking enemy posts or supply lines, etc. The foot hunter is generally a small, agile soldier, equipped with a shortened shoulder weapon like a carbine. Historically, the distinctive color of this corps is green and the unit insignia is the hunting horn. Some hunting units specialized in mountain combat, this type of infantry being called Mountain Hunter.
