Superb German saber known as "Ã la Blucher". Used in the Prussian cavalry and infantry. Based on the 1811 model, which was used from the Napoleonic Wars (notably at Waterloo) until the mid-20th century. This saber was heavily inspired by the English model known as "Model 1796", with its typical guard shape and curved blade, which was said to wreak havoc in the French army.

Here is a magnificent German officer's saber from the eastern Germany train chief, a gift from the fusiliers regiment. The blade and sheath are in good condition. Sublime shiny blade engraved: "Unseren Zugfuhrer KARL LAUSCHNER als Erinnerung - "In memory of our train chief, Karl Lauschner, by his fusilier comrades, Fusiliers Festival 1988"). The handle is made of shagreen with a triple filigree. The sheath is made of engraved chrome steel with one ring. With its knot and sword hanger. A superb piece, very pleasant to hold and even more to observe in a showcase, 100% original guaranteed!
