Description:
Superb Belgian briquet sword copied from the French model. Grip in bronze with grooves, one fixation rivet on each side, no play. The blade is still beautiful, shiny, with some traces due to time, in its original condition. Black sewn leather scabbard, very robust, attachment sling still present, marked: "Q 534" (associated with the cavalry chasseurs), "1838". A similar example is visible in the Royal Army Museum in Brussels, very rare! Very rare and 100% original! Item from my collection, I'm parting with it due to lack of space!
