Vertical format, nude portrait of a woman leaning against a wall, modestly covering her chest while smiling tenderly. Modern style, School of Paris, or regional school of Loir-et-Cher, post-fauvism, post-impressionist, beautiful technique, very nice shades of color in the background and on the skin. Unframed, dimensions 55x46cm, 4mm thick. Overall good condition, some minor signs of age particularly on the edges and corners which are slightly worn. A few small losses of paint above the head, at the top left, bottom left, and right, discreet and subtle. Other small signs of age may be present. Weighs approximately 800g, no back attachment. Part of a small collection of works by the same unidentified artist, with a unique and sensitive style, typical of the figurative modernity of the 50s-60s.
