Lithograph by Henri Rivière The Enchantment of the Hours - Dawn A5466 This lithograph "The Enchantment of the Hours - Dawn" is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old. In terms of condition, there are slight vertical creases on the right and left margins, ink lines, and small spots in places. There are small spots on the litho as well. The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most defects will be less visible. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then moved to intaglio engraving, specifically etching, in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a stage director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theater of the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing performances by creating innovative colored backgrounds. He then exclusively dedicated himself to painting and engraving, establishing himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (having painted approximately a thousand watercolors).
