Regarding its condition, note that there are ink marks in the margin, tears on the left (1.5 cm), on the right (1.3 cm and 1.4 cm), at the bottom (from 0.2 cm to 0.4 cm), small stains, and folding marks. On the litho, we point out small stains in places. The lithograph has very fresh colors, and once framed, most of the defects will be less visible. We have taken a maximum of photos of the defects so you can judge the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then moved on to soft ground printing and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a stage director and set designer in 1886, for shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing the performances by creating innovative colored backdrops. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving, establishing himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
