Description

My Père Lachaise Boutique.... beauty for everyone. KOHN chair, around 1902/1908, unknown in Kohn's catalogs and yet stamped by the manufacturer in the Teschen factory. We notice a similarity by the openwork backrest with the JJK N°721 armchair which is a creation of Otto Wagner. The caning of this large chair is new, manual in 2.25 mm X 2.8 mm, (weaving SR). Beautiful solid and original piece, it is however not unique or even a prototype because we find it caned in photo in the collections of Julio Chives Chillida and upholstered - Backhausen - in a private collection in Austria (see attached photos). We kept the two original shades that go together very well. Dimensions: Total Height: 76 cm, Seat Height: 47 cm, Width HT: 53 cm, Seat: 40X45cm.
