Tripod Bistro Chair by Fischel - 1936 - It can only be found in the catalogs of 1936, 37, and 38. It is clearly stated that it was patented as soon as it appeared in the catalog. The model No. 395 presented here is in its original condition; the chair has been somewhat cleaned and refreshed while maintaining its original shades and tones. One can notice a cast aluminum piece at the bottom of the rear leg installed to laterally stabilize the seat. This model was not reintroduced to the market in 1948/50 when Fischel resumed its commercial activities. Fischel never relied on designers; this piece would therefore be the result of the company's internal design during its presence in France from 1922 to 1939 through its factory in Wissembourg.
