Splendid antique bronze mirror from the Second Empire, 19th century. Rich Louis XV rococo decoration, adorned with a marvelous radiant juvenile mascaron dominating the pediment, surrounded by acanthus scrolls, volutes, and floral motifs. The composition, very theatrical, the finesse of the chiseling, and the depth of the reliefs testify to remarkable craftsmanship by the bronzier. The reliefs, subtly polished and patinated by time, contrast harmoniously with the darker recesses, giving the whole a remarkable presence. The mirror is enhanced with a beveled glass. The reverse is old and complete. Very good overall condition. The bronze frame has a beautiful old patina, without breaks or notable缺失.
