Elegant and rare double ashtray / vintage smoker's necessity, Art Deco, in Longwy enamel, signed, early 20th century. Beautiful oval shape composed of two circular side ashtrays, each with cigarette rests, framing a central rectangular compartment that can hold cigarettes, matches, tobacco or small smoking accessories. The whole piece is adorned with a superb polychrome floral decoration on a turquoise blue and deep blue background, typical of Longwy enamels. Large stylized flowers in shades of pink, raspberry, and white are intertwined with green foliage and small orange, yellow, and violet berries. The inner parts of the two ashtrays as well as the central compartment are a light turquoise blue, creating a particularly bright contrast with the deep blue of the perimeter. It can be used as an ashtray, a pocket tray, or simply as a decorative collectible. In excellent condition.

The piece shows an enamel skip on the edge of one face and a small chip in the central compartment.
