Very beautiful pair of wall sconces, torchieres, torches. Vintage 50s/60s, gilded metal, black and amber glass. In the style of Jansen, France. Torch shape, long handles in matte black metal, bases decorated with relief leaves, nice tulip bases in metal resembling oil lamps. Large elongated and flared tulips made of amber/yellow faceted glass. 26cm in length without the socket and the tulip, 45cm in total length with tulips. Base 9-10cm in diameter, 14cm in depth, about 10cm maximum width of tulips. In great condition, signs of usage on the metal, cracks, small oxidation spots, a few scratches... A hole at the back of the stem of one of the sconces, discreet as it's at the back. Differences between the two pieces, especially at the level of the ball and the base of the cup, different shapes, one slightly darker than the other. Bayonet sockets. Tulips in very good condition, with discreet nibbles at the base, invisible when inserted. No safety clip for the tulips, they are simply placed and slightly tightened in the "crowns" and stay in place when oriented upwards. Please note, they have not been tested, the electricity should be checked or redone by a professional. Approximately 700g each.
