Antique high-end trivet with charm. Rustic and classic. This collector's piece consists of a tile. Made of earthenware or fine ceramic by the famous West German manufacturer Villeroy & Boch, within their historic workshop in Mettlach.

The finely detailed decoration depicts a pointer dog in the midst of tall grasses, waiting for the spectacular flight of three hunting birds. The reverse of the ceramic features official markings engraved in relief, including the distinctive circular stamp "METTLACH VB" and the model numbers.

The whole is mounted on a protective raised structure made of gilded brass with four feet. Original scrolls. Manufacturer: Villeroy & Boch (Mettlach, W. Germany). Model: Animal hunting decor.
