Splendid and very complete set of 8 ramekins. Covers (small individual soupers, bouillon bowls or mini oval casseroles), made in Japan during the heart of the modernist period (circa 1970). This Japandi style table set is crafted from high-quality heavy thermo-resistant stoneware.

Each piece is distinguished by its elegant oval shape coated with a shiny two-tone glaze, combining a finely crackled cream background with wide chocolate brown stripes applied to the collar, the lid knobs, and the two small carrying ears. The base of each ramekin features its official origin stamp "JAPAN" either incised or molded under the glaze.
