Description:
Very rare & beautiful REPRODUCTION of the "TURNER" sword/bayonet. This bayonet reproduction was produced in very limited quantities, similar to those made by the famous cutlers of the mid-19th century "BOWN & TETLET OF PITTSBURGH" in Pennsylvania, and is thus marked on the ricasso. The bayonet has a blade in the "Yatagan" style, very massive and long. The grip is made of cast brass, featuring a large embedded slot on the grip to attach the bayonet to the Turner rifle. The blade is in nice condition as it is, in good shape, and needs cleaning. The scabbard is not original, as the original has been lost over time. Very pleasant to hold and even more enjoyable to observe in a display! Coming from my collection, I am letting it go due to lack of space!
