Description

Set of 2 bistro chairs by Jacob and Joseph KOHN No. 48 from around 1890, there are several versions of this model that have evolved over time. Here it is with a ring connection of the legs and a round wooden seat, in a "dark oak" shellac color, a classic of bistros from the 1890s/1900s. We have been able to preserve the patina of time and the traces of the different phases of renovation. ---- Very beautiful and in good condition, stable and solid ready to serve ---- Under the 2 chairs, there is the stamp J & J KOHN. Kohn filed a patent around 1884 for fixing the front legs with metal screws, solid and easy to assemble in the branches of various European countries. (See sketch attached…) This chair is of ¾ size, neither small bistro nor large dining room but high in its seat height. The supports, optional in the catalog, contributed to their current beautiful condition!!
