Robertson's made marmalades and jams and was founded by James Robertson in 1864. The original factory was based in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. The company also built a factory in Droylsden, Manchester in 1891. In 1928, Robertson launched the Golly badge collecting scheme, which is the oldest collecting scheme in history.
