Art Deco Two-Tone Yellow and White Gold Brooch. Small two-tone Art Deco bar brooch in yellow and white gold, French work stamped with an eagle's head. The geometric pattern typical of the Art Deco period is centered with a rectangular blue stone, probably a synthetic sapphire, a technique commonly used for this type of jewelry in the early 20th century. The front features a white gold setting that enhances the stone, while the back and fastening system are in yellow gold. The eagle's head hallmark is present under the clasp, along with other hallmarks partially visible on the pin. The photos may sometimes give the impression that the front is slightly golden depending on the angle or light, but the visible setting from the front is definitely in white gold. The contrast between the white gold front and the yellow gold visible from the side or on the back is quite difficult to reproduce accurately in photographs.
