Beautiful small safe, coin box, portable/travel jewelry chest, antique circa 1890-1910. Made entirely of metal, iron, steel, or cast iron? Interior painted red, exterior silvered decorated with engraved geometric friezes... Flat rectangular shape, central handle on the lid. Lockable with a key, comes with its key, very sturdy, very difficult to open without the key, perfect for storing jewelry, valuables, and savings. 21.5cm in length, 16.5cm in width, 9cm in height. Very good overall condition, intact, missing some red paint on the inside bottom, not bothersome, functional lock. Signs of use and traces of time, however, the exterior shows some rust spots and oxidized areas. Turn the key to the right while lifting the lid to open and repeat by pressing down on the lid to close. Weighs approximately 3kg.
