SMALL ART DECO CUP SIGN PIERRE D AVESN FRANCE GEOMETRIC FLORAL H3324This small cup is typical art deco, it is a production of the house Pierre d 'Avesn France. Marking on the bottom, signature partially erased (we can read ESN FRANCE) photo 5 It is in good general condition, micro scratches for the glass for the most picky. Nice little frame probably in bronze around the rim, typical art deco. small bubble (on one of the flowers inside) due to cooking.Sold as presented.Pierre d 'AVESN was born in 1901 and died in 1990. He was a sculptor and produced Art Deco models and decorations for them. great factories in the East. Industrially press molded art glass. Trained in Decorative Arts in Paris by François Decorchemont, he was hired by René Lalique at the age of 14 and will be a worker for 10 years. In 1924, he created his own factory and worked with Cristalleries Saint Rémy for the production in his molds. From 1930 to 1936, he worked at Daum to develop the production of pressed-molded glass. Pierre d 'Avesn joined Verlys in 1937 for the Hollophane department. After the war, he worked at the Cristallerie de Choisy le Roi, where he reissued old models and created new ones, under the aegis of the Manufacture de Sèvres. In 1952, his molds and creations were sold to the Cristallerie de Vannes le Châtel. He continued his career there until 1984.
