More than just a vase, this free-form piece is a true glazed sculpture by Marius Bessone (circa 1955-1960). Its hollow, organic architecture, typical of the golden age of Vallauris, makes it a beautiful decorative object.
Nature: Art pottery, sculptural vase with double handles and hollows, anthropomorphic silhouette.
Glazing technique: Rough-textured "Craters" reactive technique contrasting with a polychrome decoration of glossy glazes (orange, yellow, blue).
Dimensions: Exceptional height of 43 cm, width 23 cm, depth 10 cm.
Signature: Hand incised in relief "Bessone Vallauris."
Condition: Very good condition, just note a micro-glaze jump on the edge (see photo), very discreet and fixable, with no impact on the structure.
