Description
Vintage table lamp or nightlight in glazed ceramic attributed to the workshops of Vallauris (1960s-1970s).
The piece is distinguished by its original gilding.
The shiny white embossed enamel shade is adorned with sharp golden polka dots and is bordered with a matching trim around the edge.
The base features an intense red glaze with a speckled and flamed finish, highlighted around the opening's contour.
Inside the cavity, which serves as a light reflector, there is a sculpted relief decoration including a blue and yellow butterfly in flight, a cyan flower, a blue snail on its leaf (showing a slight sign of use, very minimal and barely noticeable), as well as a textured, lichen-like background.
The object has its original hole at the base of the foot for passing the electrical cable.
In very good overall condition, it measures 17 cm in height and 14 cm in width at the shade.
